Living Independently

We volunteered for the Jewellery Quarter Heritage Squad, clearing and planting bulbs in the Cemetery.

Visits to Birmingham Library’s and Local Restaurants.

Exploring local amenities to develop independence, exploring what facilities are available and how to access them.

Pancake Tuesday – We purchased the ingredients and cooked our own pancakes.

Supporting young artist to budget and manage finances and sourcing best resources.

Gives us confidence to meet people and learning to work as a team.

The Secret Garden
Introduction to play work sessions.

Eco Printing – We collected leaves and flowers and bashed the flowers to create a printed fabric. 

They help supporting us with using technology and accessing social media.
How to make best use of their phones and computers.

Local artist come in and work with the young people to learn crafts : Woodwork, Tie Die and Pottery.

Visiting galleries, looking at exhibitions and we’ve learnt about different art techniques.

Maintaining the Cemetery – Making the grounds welcoming to visitors.
